Like me, you may share an appreciation for the storytelling that happens when meeting friends, business colleagues and clients. The lack of in-person gatherings this past year has highlighted how important sharing tales can be for learning and building relationships. During my years managing people, teaching, and consulting, storytelling has been a vital tool for conveying ideas.
Last year, I began posting stories from my international business career on LinkedIn. With each story, I included a business lesson or life takeaway. With the encouragement of many LinkedIn readers, I have
compiled some of these posts and added many more short stories, into a book titled, “Exploding Turkeys and Spare Trousers, Adventures in Global Business.”
The seven chapters cover: Leadership; Working with other; Timing is everything; Communications; Cultural encounters; Business perspectives; and Personal Observations.
I hope these stories provide readers with enjoyable and useful observations that are relevant and helpful in their business and personal lives.
Publication is on JULY 6th.
