Life is Awesome

I’m back in Helsinki after an amazing trip to the USA that refreshed my heart, my soul, and my brain.

First stop Seattle for a reunion with college friends, a few of whom I had not seen in decades. We toured the city, attended a Mariners baseball game, spent hours catching up, and there was much laughter.

Then, in Seattle, attend the Academy of Management Annual Meeting with more than 8,000 other business-minded professionals. Discussions, networking, renewal of friendships and new friendships made.

On to Nashville for an enlightening, interactive learning experience under the tutelage of the incomparable Marshall Goldsmith. New perspectives from him and inputs throughout the weekend from the talented members of 100 Coaches.

Lastly, to South Florida for business meetings related to future assignments, meeting old friends, enjoying New York style pizza, a dip in the ocean, and some time on the tennis court.

Great experiences, but after a major tie-up on I95, a late flight from MIA to JFK followed by a late flight from JFK to HEL (thankfully so I and my bags could make the plane), I am happy to be home with my family and looking forward to our four grandchildren coming to us for a sleepover this weekend.

Much to be happy and grateful for.
