I was privileged to participate in the ‘Culture Day’ of Scania’s Emissions Solutions Division at their headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden.

After opening presentations, the 100 participants broke into small teams where they storyboarded and filmed 1-minute videos, each group focused on one aspect of the Scania Way which underpins their organization’s culture.

After lunch I delivered a keynote on “Business Lessons from Formula 1” including the ‘Performance at the Limit Framework’ and the ‘F1 Performance Pyramid.’ It was not hard to draw parallels to Scania’s unique culture.

The day concluded with all watching the creative videos many of which used exhibits in the fabulous Scania Museum as backdrops and props. Amongst genuine laughter everyone had a chance to vote for the two videos that were best overall and exemplified the Scania Way.

A great event that reinforced key elements of the Scania culture and engaged their employees in a fun and invigorating exercise. I was delighted to join and contribute.
