Interviewed by Singapore Radio Host

For some reason, recently, there has been an increased interest in my book, “Exploding Turkeys and Spare Trousers, Adventure in Global Business” published five years ago. A best-selling author of mysteries in the UK contacted me, as did the organizer of a book fair in Scotland.

And I was approached for an interview about the book by a radio program in Singapore. So, yesterday morning I was interviewed by Simon Lim who hosts “Nights with Simon on One FM 91.3 I. His show airs in Singapore Monday thru Friday, 8pm to midnight featuring interviews, local spotlight segments, and music.

Simon was well-prepared with excellent questions. We talked for an hour about the story behind the book, learning to work across cultures, self-awareness, communication and much more.

Simon also asked for a few key takeaways from “Performance at the Limit, Business Lessons from Formula 1 Racing.” I mentioned Clarity of Purpose (the late Sir Frank William’s question when signing cheques, “Will it make the car go faster?”) and creating a No-Blame Culture (“Isolate the problem, not the person.”)

The interview will be edited to a shorter segment, and given the F1 content, probably aired sometime around the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix which takes place October 9-11.
